MARMOPU-LIQUID is an advanced, high-performance, zero-yellowing two-component polyurethane system specifically formulated for joint and crack filling, fissure repair, and seamless bonding in white and crystalline natural marble (such as Statuario, Thassos, Carrara, and Makrana). Mixed in a precise 3:2 ratio by volume (resin : hardener), it combines the high mechanical strength and bond adhesion of polyurethane polymers with exceptional elasticity (elongation at break ≥ 10%) and complete resistance to UV-induced discoloration or yellowing over time. To ensure a flawless, invisible aesthetic repair, it is designed to be blended with MarmoDry White Tint in the resin component prior to hardener introduction. MARMOPU-LIQUID delivers exceptional chemical and weathering resistance across both indoor and outdoor large-format stone installations and luxury architectural restorations.
Key Highlights
- Guaranteed zero-yellowing: aliphatic polyurethane chemistry guarantees colour stability and zero yellowing over extended lifespans, eliminating the discoloration typical of traditional epoxy and polyester fillers in white marble.
- Engineered for white marble: designed specifically for white, crystalline, and translucent marbles without leaving halo marks, oil bleed, or dark shadowing.
- Balanced strength and flexibility: tensile strength ≥ 20 N/mm² combined with ≥ 10% elongation at break, accommodating thermal expansion and structural micro-movements without debonding or cracking.
- Seamless aesthetic finish: clear thick liquid base that blends with MarmoDry White Tint to match the shade, brightness, and translucency of natural marble.
- Rapid initial cure: touch dry and ready for light pedestrian traffic within 1 to 2 hours at 25°C; full mechanical strength in 24 hours.
- Superior chemical and weather resistance: resilient against water, cooking oils, fuels, mild acids, alkaline detergents, and freeze-thaw weathering between −10°C and +80°C.
- Ideal for large-format installations: pot life of 16–20 minutes and a thick liquid consistency allow rapid penetration and smooth flow into joints and hairline fissures.

Application & Handling
1. Surface preparation. Thoroughly clean all joints, fissures, and cracks using Marmocleaner-Mild diluted 1:10 with clean water. Remove dust, cutting slurry, oils, wax, grease, efflorescence, and loose debris. Allow the stone to dry completely. Never apply on damp or wet stone.
2. Tinting & mixing. Add MarmoDry White Tint into the resin (Part A) first and stir until the colour, opacity, and shade of the marble are matched. Measure the tinted resin and hardener strictly 3:2 by volume. Mix with a clean low-speed mechanical mixer or flat spatula for 1.5–2 minutes until homogeneous. Prepare only what can be applied within the 16–20 minute pot life at 25°C.
3. Application. Pour or inject MARMOPU-LIQUID directly over joints, cracks, and pinholes using a dispensing tool, spatula, or trowel. Completely fill and slightly crown the joint cavity to protect against shrinkage and airborne dust. For deep joints or fissures, apply in successive layers for void-free filling. Wipe excess around joint borders before gelation to simplify grinding and polishing.
4. Curing & polishing. Leave the filled area undisturbed for 1–2 hours before light foot traffic. Full curing, peak hardness (Shore D 70–75), and maximum tensile strength are reached after 24 hours. Surface grinding, diamond honing, and polishing can proceed after 24 hours of full cure.
Do’s
- Ensure all cracks and joints are dust-free, clean, and completely dry before application.
- Use on white and light-coloured marble where zero-yellowing is required.
- Always add MarmoDry White Tint to the resin before mixing with the hardener.
- Maintain a strict 3:2 volume mixing ratio.
- Apply over joints for continuous, full coverage.
- Allow 1–2 hours before light traffic and 24 hours before heavy traffic, grinding, or polishing.
- Wear chemical-resistant gloves and safety eyewear during handling.
Don’ts
- Do not apply on wet, damp, or contaminated stone surfaces.
- Do not alter the 3:2 volume mixing ratio of resin and hardener.
- Do not mix quantities that exceed the 16–20 minute pot life.
- Do not apply or spread the material after it has begun to gel or harden.
- Do not subject filled joints to heavy traffic, mechanical loads, or water before the 24-hour full cure.
- Do not leave mixed material unused in a deep container for extended periods (avoids exotherm).
- Do not use in unventilated or confined areas without proper airflow.
- Do not add water, thinners, or solvents.
Storage & Safety
Storage: Store sealed in original containers in a cool, dry area between +5°C and +25°C, away from direct sunlight, open flames, and moisture.
Handling: Wear protective gloves, safety eyewear, and suitable work clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation in enclosed workspaces.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is MARMOPU-LIQUID?
A high-performance, two-component polyurethane joint and crack filler designed specifically for white natural marble to deliver permanent zero-yellowing and flexible strength.
Why is it preferred over epoxy for white marble?
Standard epoxies contain aromatic amine hardeners that turn yellow or amber over time in sunlight. MARMOPU-LIQUID uses aliphatic polyurethane chemistry that guarantees zero-yellowing over its lifespan.
What is the mixing ratio?
3 parts resin to 2 parts hardener by volume (3:2).
Why is MarmoDry White Tint recommended?
The base resin is clear. Adding MarmoDry White Tint lets fabricators match Statuario, Thassos, Carrara, or Makrana marble.
When should the white tint be added?
Always blend MarmoDry White Tint into the resin (Part A) before introducing the hardener (Part B).
What is the pot life?
16–20 minutes at 25°C.
How fast does it cure?
Initial cure and light foot traffic in 1–2 hours at 25°C. Full structural and mechanical cure in 24 hours.
Can filled joints be polished?
Yes. After 24 hours of full cure, joints can be ground, honed, and polished flush with diamond pads alongside the marble.
What is the Shore D hardness and tensile strength?
Shore D 70–75 and tensile strength ≥ 20 N/mm² after 7 days.
Does it accommodate slab movement?
Yes. Elongation at break ≥ 10% accommodates building vibration and thermal expansion without cracking or joint pop-out.
Can it be used on vertical marble?
It is a thick liquid formulated for penetration and horizontal filling. For vertical joints use a non-sag paste (such as MARMOGEL) or apply in thin build-up layers with retaining tape.
Can it be applied outdoors?
Yes. Outstanding UV resistance, thermal stability (−10°C to +80°C), and weathering resistance make it suitable for exterior cladding, facades, and open terraces.
Can it be applied on damp stone?
No. Surfaces must be completely clean and dry. Polyurethanes react with moisture, which can cause micro-foaming and adhesion failure.
How should joints be cleaned before application?
Clean thoroughly with Marmocleaner-Mild diluted 1:10 with water, flush clean, and allow to dry completely.
What is the pack size?
1.25 kg kit: 0.75 kg resin + 0.5 kg hardener.
What is the bond strength to marble?
≥ 2 N/mm² on marble, exceeding the tensile cohesive strength of the stone itself.
Does it shrink in joints?
No. When applied fully crowning the joint cavity, it cures with negligible shrinkage.
Can it be diluted with solvents or water?
No. Never add water, thinners, or solvents. Dilution destroys polyurethane crosslinking.
What is the shelf life and storage?
12 months in original unopened packaging stored between +5°C and +25°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
