MARMOFLEX-W TDS

High-Performance Deformable Two-Component Tile & Stone Adhesive

MARMOFLEX-W by Marmo Solutions is an ultra-premium, two-component, polymer-modified cementitious adhesive engineered specifically for demanding, high-stress installations where substrate movement and deflection are critical factors. Certified under EN 12004 (C2TES2), IS 15477:2019 (Type 4T / T4S2), and ANSI A118.15 standards, this advanced adhesive system combines a high-grade cementitious powder with a specialized liquid latex component to deliver exceptional bonding strength, extended open time, non-slip vertical hold, and outstanding S2 elastomeric deformability (≥ 5.0 mm up to 10 mm).

Formulated for high-movement substrates such as exterior facades, heated floor screeds (underfloor heating systems), and structures subject to heavy vibration or thermal expansion, MARMOFLEX-W absorbs stresses that cause standard mortars to shear or delaminate. It is suitable for medium to large-format vitrified tiles, porcelain slabs, marble, granite, and composite natural stones across horizontal and vertical, interior and exterior installations—including wet environments like swimming pools, commercial kitchens, and bathrooms.

Key Highlights

  • S2 Super-Deformable Flexibility: Boasts exceptional deformability (≥ 5.0 mm up to 10 mm), absorbing thermal shock, substrate vibrations, and heavy structural deflections.
  • Multi-Standard Certification: Conforms to EN 12004 (C2TES2), IS 15477:2019 (Type 4T / T4S2), and ANSI A118.15.
  • Two-Component Latex Fortification: Pre-dosed 20 KG powder + 5 KG liquid latex polymer system; eliminates water-dilution errors and ensures maximum polymer enrichment.
  • Thixotropic Non-Slip Performance: Features slip resistance of ≤ 0.5 mm, preventing heavy wall cladding and large tiles from sagging or sliding vertically during installation.
  • Extended Open & Adjustability Time: Provides an open time of ≥ 30 minutes and adjustability window up to 40 minutes for effortless placement and alignment.
  • Wet & Submerged Resilience: High resistance to water immersion, freeze-thaw cycles, and thermal aging, making it ideal for swimming pools, exterior facades, and cold climates.
  • High Structural Bond Strength: Delivers dry tensile adhesion ≥ 1.5 N/mm² and shear adhesion ≥ 1.5 N/mm².

Application & Handling

Surface Preparation. Ensure the substrate is structurally sound, clean, flat, and completely free of dust, grease, wax, curing compounds, or loose particles. Level and repair uneven substrates beforehand. Pre-dampen dry absorbent cementitious surfaces before application, avoiding standing water.

Mixing Instructions. Pour 4.5 to 5.0 liters of Component B (liquid latex part) into a clean mixing container. Gradually add the 20 KG bag of MARMOFLEX-W powder. Blend thoroughly with a slow-speed mechanical mixer until a smooth, homogeneous, lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mixture to rest/slake for 5 minutes, then re-stir briefly before application. Never mix with water, cement, sand, lime, or other admixtures.

Application Method. Spread the adhesive evenly onto the substrate using the flat side of a trowel, then comb with an appropriate notched trowel in straight parallel lines. For large-format tiles, heavy natural stones, exterior facades, or submerged pools, back-buttering (applying a thin coat of adhesive to the rear of the tile) is necessary to ensure 100% full bedding and eliminate voids. Firmly press the tiles into the wet adhesive ridges. Adjust tile alignment within 40 minutes.

Grouting & Curing. Allow the installation to cure for at least 24 hours before grouting joints or opening the floor to light foot traffic. Ensure structural movement joints are provided and never bridged with adhesive.
