Application & Handling

Surface Preparation. The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, flat, and completely cleared of dust, oil, grease, or loose particles. Pre-dampen absorbent masonry surfaces before application, avoiding standing water.

Mixing. Add approximately 4.5 to 5.0 liters of clean potable water (≤ 200 TDS) into a clean bucket per 20 KG bag of MARMOFLEX. Blend with a mechanical mixer until a smooth, lump-free paste is achieved. Allow the mixture to slake (rest) for 5 minutes, then re-stir before use. Do not add excess water, sand, or cement.

Application Method. Spread the adhesive using the flat edge of a trowel and comb with an appropriate notched trowel. Firmly press tiles into the mortar bed within the 30-minute open time to ensure proper bonding. For large-format tiles or heavy stone, apply back-buttering to ensure full adhesive contact. Adjust tile positioning within 40 minutes.

Grouting & Curing. Allow the installation to cure for at least 24 hours before grouting joints or opening to foot traffic. Clean tools and surface excess immediately with clean water.
