Application & Handling

1. Surface preparation. Ensure the surface is completely clean, dry, and free of dust, oils, wax, grease, or previous coatings. Clean with a neutral pH stone cleaner and allow it to dry thoroughly. The stone must be dry internally, not just surface-dry.

2. Application. Apply MARMOBARRIER evenly using a clean brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer. For highly porous stone (such as sandstone or unpolished limestone), apply a second coat after 15–20 minutes. Wipe off any excess within 15–20 minutes to prevent residue and surface hazing.

3. Drying and curing. Touch-dry in 1–2 hours depending on ambient temperature and relative humidity. Full stain repellence and chemical curing is achieved after 24 hours.

4. Coverage. Coverage varies with substrate porosity: low-porosity stones (for example polished granite) up to 10 m²/L; highly porous stones (sandstone, porous limestone) as low as 3 m²/L.
